Dudhsagar falls is a four tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in Goa. This waterfall is amongst India's tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 m (100 feet) at it's peak. This falls is located inside the Bhagwan Mahavir Sanctuary, at the border between Karnataka and Goa states.
Own vehicles are not allowed into the sanctuary to reach the waterfall. The most common and easiest way to reach the waterfall is to take a forest department (or licensed private) jeep from the forest entrance (private jeeps are available near Kulem (Collem) Railway Station) and hike 1 km distance from the dropping point. This service is closed during monsoon (June - mid October).
Trekking to the waterfall is also a popular activity. The most adventurous route is to trek from Kuveshi village. It is not allowed during monsoon as it requires crossing Mandovi River. The 10 km long route passes through thick jungle. During monsoon, the trek from Castle Rock railway station to the waterfall is very popular. It is about 14 km long and offers amazing views of the valley. The third trail starting from Kulem railway station is about 11 km long. Another, more popular approach is to reach the middle of the Dudhsagar waterfalls through the railway tracks. 

Supa Dam

Get ready to enjoy some fascinating views as you visit the Supa Dam viewpoint. Supa Dam, located in Joida Taluk of Dandeli, is one of the leading hydroelectric power generation plants in the town. The dam has been built across river Kali and has a picturesque backdrop.

Enjoy a ride through the thick jungle to reach the Dam named after Suparulu, who has been popularised as the God of Forests by the local people. As you approach the dam, listen to the gushing sound of the dam water which will increase your excitement.

Sit and relax in the tranquil atmosphere with only the sound of the dam water and admire that breathtaking view in front of you. If you want some excitement, indulge in enjoyable water scooting and boat riding activities.

Sathodi

Sathodi Falls

One of the Best things to Do in Dandeli is to visit the amazing Sathodi Falls, which is locally known as “Mini Niagara”. Located at the Uttara Kannada district of Yellapur, in Karnataka, the 15 meters rectangular falls will mesmerise you with their beauty.

Enjoy a half a kilometre of walk through the forest which will take you 20 minutes to reach the falls. Feel excited as you hear the sound of the cascading falls as you travel half the way. On reaching the fall, you may opt to go for a swim or just enjoy under the gushing water in the natural pool at the bottom of the fall. 

Syntheri

Syntheri Rocks

One of the Things to Do in Dandeli is to visit the Syntheri Rocks, a popular tourist attraction which is located in the centre of Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. The rock, which has been named after an English lady Ms Cinthera who discovered this place, is an example of a spectacular natural beauty that has been made by nature as a result of an ancient volcano.

With the flowing river Kaneri passing by its side, the view that is offered will surely captivate you as you gaze at it. Spend some time at the idyllic spot located amid nature and capture the enthralling beauty in your cameras.

Kavala

If you are wondering what to do in Dandeli, you can opt for caving at Kavala Caves to get an exciting taste of adventure. The caves, known to have been of prehistoric times and made of the volcano, is located in the Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary.

You can reach the cave by climbing down 375 steps and entering the stalagmite formations that abound in Kavala Caves. Feel thrilled as you pass through narrow climbs and trek to reach the cave. On reaching the cave, you will find the cave in total darkness with snakes and bats inhabiting the cave. The cave has been naturally formed in the form of a Shivlinga and has a temple at its entrance.

Visit Ulavi Temple to offer your respect to Channabasavanna, a revered 12th-century Lingayat saint. Located in the Western Ghats, in the midst of lush greenery, the Chalukyan style temple also has a number of caves and stalactites which you will love exploring.

The journey to the temple is also exciting as you need to cross a stretch of evergreen forests to reach the place. The forest is known to be the natural habitat for several species of wild animals such as cheetahs, tigers, elephants etc. who live in the dense part of the forest. The Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary will offer you to visit the Shiroli Peak from where you will get a breathtaking view of the famous Sahyadri Range along with its surrounding mountains. Shiroli Peak is the highest point of the Uttara Kannada region and to reach the peak, you will need to embark on an enjoyable trek after securing permission from the Forest Department that is essential for visiting the peak.

SykesPoint

Sykes Point

One of the Things to Do in Dandeli is to visit Sykes Point during the sunset. This spectacular sightseeing place gets its name after the British engineer who found this place during his hunting expedition. You will need to take permission from Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd and then reach the point after a trekking expedition.

Once there, you will be mesmerised with the striking view of the sun setting with the view of Nagzari River & River Kali confluence in the backdrop. You will further feel delighted by catching a glimpse of the giant hornbills who frequent the place. You can also opt for some enjoyable water sports like rafting, kayaking, or coracle ride while visiting Sykes point.

Vajra Falls Dandeli ,An absolute beauty, a must visit site. The view of the waterfalls are amazing , is situated lush green and thick grown vegetation. 40 kilometres direction from the Dandeli Between the village of chandevadi, the kali River that flows to the beautiful Vajra Falls and are best seen after the monsoon season. The falls are about 1.5 hours dandeli During the summer months (March–May) the stream and river water levels can become low.

If you just stand on the bank of the Kali river, you can see the number of crocodiles in the river Kali. This place is very close to nature and greenery is all around. The park is totally peaceful, created amidst forest where you can watch live moving crocodiles and also feed them.
